- Background:
The Mathematics Competitions consist of two simultaneous events: The XVI Intercollegiate Mathematics Contest and The XX Ecuadorian Mathematics Olympiad. They are organized by the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of ESPOL University, with the endorsement of the Ministry of Education and Culture, and with the sponsorship of private companies. Their realization is supported by the statutes of ESPOL and Ministerial Agreement No. 706 of the Ministry of Education and Culture promulgated on October 15, 1992.
- Objectives:
1. Encourage the study of Mathematics, promote its importance and cultural value, and stimulate the development of young Ecuadorian talents in this science.
2. Foster the exchange of ideas and experiences among participants.
3. Promote the strengthening of friendship bonds among participants.
4. Select the team that will represent the country in international Mathematics competitions at the secondary level.
- Registrations:
In order to participate in the Competitions, institutions and students who wish to do so must comply with the following:
1. Students enrolled up to the senior year of high school from all secondary level institutions in the country may participate in the Olympiad.
2. All secondary level institutions represented by four titular students may participate in the Contest.
3. Students enrolled for the Contest and meet requirement 1 will also participate in the Olympiad.
4. Secondary level institutions will participate with students enrolled in their establishment.
5. For the Olympiad, students participating without the sponsorship of a secondary level institution must be enrolled in a secondary level institution.
Registrations must be made according to the following instructions:
1. For participation in the Competitions, each Institution will designate a responsible person for the participating students; and students participating without the sponsorship of any institution will be under the responsibility of their legal representative.
2. Registration for the competitions will have a cost, according to the following table:

3. Registrations will be made online by accessing the Registration Form at the end of this section.
4. Upon completing the registration of the participants, they must make the respective payment on the same registration page using credit or debit cards; or by making a bank transfer with the following details:
